Every school has their own policy on how they handle head lice found on students.

 

Policies

 

"No Nit"

  • No nit policies require a student to be free of nits before they can return to school.

"Live bug only"

  • Live bug only policy state that students must be free of all live bugs before they can return to school with nits. 

"Live let live"

  • Live let live is more attitude than policy. Students parents are notified while the student stays in school and parents are expected to treat before the next day.
